According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the village has a total Place of 2.83 square miles (7.33 km), of which 2.79 square miles (7.23 km2) is estate and 0.04 square miles (0.10 km) (0.99%) is water.

As of the census of 2010, there were 2,258 people, 894 households, and 596 families living in the village. The population density was 781.3 inhabitants per square mile (301.7/km2). There were 983 housing units at an average density of 340.1 per square mile (131.3/km). The racial makeup of the village was 95.3% White, 2.1% African American, 0.3% Native American, 0.9% Asian, 0.3% from other races, and 1.1% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.1% of the population.

There were 894 households, of which 30.1% had kids under the age of 18 living afterward them, 48.2% were married couples animated together, 13.4% had a female householder similar to no husband present, 5.0% had a male householder gone no wife present, and 33.3% were non-families. 29.1% of whatever households were made stirring of individuals, and 14.8% had someone full of life alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.41 and the average relations size was 2.95.

As of the census of 2000, there were 2,337 people, 926 households, and 623 families full of beans in the village. The population density was 856.7 inhabitants per square mile (330.8/km2). There were 975 housing units at an average density of 357.4 per square mile (138.0/km). The racial makeup of the village was 96.02% White, 1.93% African American, 0.26% Native American, 0.21% Asian, 0.39% from additional races, and 1.20% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.80% of the population.
